Warning Description: Winter Weather Advisory
Warning Date: 12:36 PM EST on January 6, 2009
WarningSum:...Winter Weather Advisory Now In Effect Until Midnight Est
Tonight...
Warning Message:Occasional light freezing drizzle and light drizzle will continue
to occur. Air temperatures will slowly climb toward freezing today
with some areas along the I-70 corridor expected to reach or just
exceed freezing. However temperatures may fall back down to
freezing or just below 32 degrees after dark tonight. Additional light
drizzle and freezing drizzle is expected to continue into tonight.
The drizzle is expected to gradually mix with or change to snow
after midnight.
Only light accumulations of ice can be expected...but any amount
of freezing rain can make roads and sidewalks very slick and
create hazardous travel conditions.
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of freezing rain
will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads
and limited visibilities...and use caution while driving.
